Nick Martorano, Ph.D., is a multi-awarded, internationally-known
High Definition filmmaker, cameraman and digital media producer with more than ten years of experience in underwater imaging.

Nick is the Founder and President of Ocean Wonders Underwater Video Productions, formerly established in California and currently based in Palau - Micronesia.

Nick is also a certified PADI Scuba Instructor, and has taught at University level for several years in the past (e.g., University of California).

Nick's credits include National Geographic (USA), GEO (Germany) , "Survivor" (UK) , EverGreen Films (USA), NPR (USA), Aljazeera (UK) MDR (Germany), ABS-CBN (Philippines), The Ocean Channel (USA), The Window Channel (USA), and others.

Nick has been a recipient of many awards, including the Stan Waterman Award in Excellence in Underwater Photography (2007) and the Bob Commers Award in Excellence in Underwater Photography (2006), among others. A sample of his award-winning short films is available here.
