Trainings in underwater videography or photography are offered year-round. Typically, courses are offered in Palau, through Ocean Wonders and Sam's Tours, taking advantage of Palau's world-known abundant and diverse marine life (e.g., sharks, mantas, macro, wrecks, caves, etc).
Nick is also available to teach his courses anywhere in in the world, provided appropriate logistical and financial arrangements are made.
Nick has helped dozens of motivated divers and even professional underwater photographers bring home fantastic underwater images
and videos after only a few days of instruction!
are offered at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
are offered at the beginner and intermediate levels.
Classes are customized to the student's individual needs, and last from one to several days, depending on level and student's goals. Group courses are also offered.
Courses are organized and developed with a strong emphasis on hands-on practice, keeping theory and classroom hours to a minimum. The idea is to offer students an exciting and fun experience, while maximizing time spent in the water diving, shooting and having fun!
Constructive feedback is given at the end of each day of shooting, and elements of photo or video editing are included with each course. By the time you are done with your class, you will be able to bring home a nice sampler of your underwater images, or a ready-to-watch DVD of your underwater videos!
Upon request, a DVD of you shooting underwater may also be included with each course, to facilitate learning and provide constructive feedback on your recently learnt skills.

SAMPLE TESTIMONIALS
"One of the highlights at Sam's was the underwater videographer course I took with Nick. If you have a camcorder and want to leave your holiday with great footage, I highly recommend his course! It was fantastic and well worth it!
I would return to Palau just to continue with his course!"

"Nick Martorano has amazed me with knowledge of photography no one else has displayed. I had multiple problems with my new underwater camera and spent a lot of money trying to get the kind of pictures that this camera should be able to take. All the underwater pictures I took came out washed out blue with no true
color. I contacted the company representative and even spent time with
one of their highly regarded representatives. This did not solve my problem.
On my first time in the water with Nick he taught me
skills that immediately brought out good color and focus on my pictures. During this same trip to Palau he even repaired my camera to save the
trip from being a total waste.
Prior to my second day of diving Nick instructed me on methods to use
that no one had ever recommended. These procedures caused my
photography skills to go to an entirely new level. I took a complete
day of pictures with 100% true color and focus.
I feel that the skills that nick taught me will contribute to a much more productive and enjoyable trip with great underwater pictures. I will continue to
travel to Palau to learn from Nick.
He is a true professional that is totally dedicated to helping others"

"Many thanks for all the fun and the great photographic instruction. Nick is extremely knowledgeable, a great artist and a great teacher.
The underwater photography lesson resulted in the best underwater photos I have ever taken -- some are already on my office wall. The Photo shop lesson was extremely helpful in many areas important to editing underwater photography.
After a little practice on the first days of my next trip to Palau, I will ask him for another underwater photography lesson.
Kindest regards"
